Wellington and Dyanna Nascimento
We are Wellington and Dyanna Nascimento, a Brazilian missionary family serving in Gurinhém, a small and economically vulnerable town in northeastern Brazil.
For two years, we traveled to Gurinhém every week. Over time, we understood that some things can only be cared for up close. So we moved our family here.
The mission is no longer a visit. It has become presence.
Our work in Gurinhém takes shape through two integrated fronts:
Igreja Comum, a Christian community in formation, where we provide pastoral care, biblical teaching, discipleship, prayer, and shared life.
Instituto Lumine, a Christian classical education initiative serving children and families with limited educational access, beginning with literacy, classical literature, and Christian formation.
At this stage, Igreja Comum is still a young community in formation. We have chosen not to place financial pressure on the people we are serving locally. Our desire is to care patiently, teach generosity with wisdom, and allow the community to grow in health.
This MissionStream page is focused on missionary family support. Your monthly partnership helps sustain our family’s presence in Gurinhém, including housing, food, transportation, family needs, educational materials, hospitality, pastoral availability, and the stability needed to serve with constancy.
Our first goal is to gather 50 monthly partners toward $4,000/month in missionary family support.
Some partners may give less, and some may give more. Together, these monthly gifts help build the stable base our family needs to remain present and available in Gurinhém.
A one-time gift helps. A monthly partnership gives stability.
Thank you for walking with us in Gurinhém.
In Christ,
Wellington and Dyanna Nascimento
