Gospel Torch
Taking Up the Torch
Three decades ago, a brief mountain vacation in the mountains of SE India turned into a mission movement for the Moses family. J. Moses remembers literally following in her father’s footsteps as he carried the torchlight of truth into unreached regions that had not yet received the light of the gospel.
Today, J. and her mom carry on the family ministry of visiting villages and peoples previously unknown and unengaged by the modern church. Against all cultural norms, mother and daughter picked up the torch after J.’s father unexpectedly passed away.
J’s father often emphasized the need to take the light of the gospel where there is darkness rather than to places where there is already light. Gospel Torch is focused on gospel outreach to the unreached mountain peoples of SE India as well as the training and discipleship of new believers and pastors in these remote regions. Community development is a growing part of the work.
