My name is Habibur Rahaman, and I lead the Seeds of Salvation (SOS) Ministry in Bangladesh, South Asia. Through this ministry, I primarily serve poor, illiterate, and marginalized lower-caste communities by providing basic healthcare, counseling, and introducing them to free medical assistance at government hospitals. These simple acts of service build trust and strong relationships, and upon that foundation, I share Bible Stories introducing them to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, thereby sowing the seeds of salvation among those who have never heard before. As a Christian, I serve people of all faiths, whether Muslim, Hindu or Animistic, who seek my assistance. Over time, I have witnessed a beautiful truth: even an enemy can become a friend through small acts of love and compassion. Some who once viewed Christians with suspicion now warmly welcome me and willingly listen to the Bible stories I come to share.
I am especially devoted to serving autistic and disabled children. Many parents of poor, uneducated, and marginalized children do not know how to access government disability allowances or other essential services. I assist these children in obtaining disability benefits, enrolling in autistic schools, and, when needed, receiving free government wheelchairs. I keep all autistic and disabled children in my prayers, and their well-being is always close to my heart.
While serving in remote villages, I also address a sensitive challenge faced by many women in Bangladesh. Due to cultural norms, they are often unable to share their gynecological problems with male doctors. Therefore, during my village visits, I gently tell them: Tomorrow morning, a female doctor at the hospital will check you and give you proper advice. Hearing this, many women willingly register and come with me to the hospital. Every woman receives the free VIA (cervical cancer screening) and CBE (clinical breast examination) through government services.
Another major challenge is that many poor, helpless, and lower-caste individuals do not know how to access free government healthcare. They often distrust or fear government officials and urban environments. As a result, many suffer silently for years—some even die without treatment. Many of these poor individuals do not even have the money for transportation to go to the hospital, so I also cover their travel expenses. By personally accompanying them, guiding them step-by-step, and ensuring they receive free consultations and essential medicines, I help bridge this gap and restore hope. At the same time, through the stories I always share, they are hearing the Good News of God's love and the salvation from sin that He has already provided through the Lord Jesus.
Every month, I have been taking mission trips for several days to reach different regions with the love and message of Christ. The purpose of Seeds of Salvation is simple: just as the Lord Jesus served people with compassion, we also seek to serve others and plant seeds of salvation in their lives—so that they may come to know Him and receive eternal salvation.
We regularly pray for the underprivileged, the sick, and especially for autistic and disabled children whose lives we touch. Would you prayerfully join us today in supporting this mission? Your prayers and support can help advance this work, transform lives, and guide many toward salvation.
